Free AI Visibility Checker
See whether ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot and Siri can read your website. We request your homepage as each AI crawler, read your robots.txt, and check the basics AI answers depend on. Results in about 30 seconds, no signup.
The 10 AI crawlers it tests
Each crawler is requested separately, with its own user agent, so you see exactly which assistants get through. A crawler can be stopped by your robots.txt file or by a firewall in front of the site, and the checker tells you which.
| Crawler | Assistant | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
OAI-SearchBot | ChatGPT | Decides whether your pages can appear in ChatGPT search answers |
ChatGPT-User | ChatGPT | Opens your page when someone asks ChatGPT about it |
GPTBot | ChatGPT | Training data for OpenAI models |
Claude-SearchBot | Claude | Indexes pages for Claude's search results |
ClaudeBot | Claude | Training data for Claude models |
PerplexityBot | Perplexity | Surfaces and links your site in Perplexity answers |
Perplexity-User | Perplexity | Visits your page when a question needs it |
Google-Extended | Gemini | Whether Google may use your content for Gemini (a robots.txt rule only) |
Bingbot | Copilot | Bing's index, which Copilot answers draw on |
Applebot | Siri | Siri and Spotlight suggestions |

How to read your results
- Allowed The crawler got your page. Nothing to do.
- Blocked by robots.txt Your robots.txt tells this crawler to stay out. Remove the
Disallowrule for it, or add a group withAllow: /. - Blocked by firewall robots.txt allows the crawler, but the server refused it or showed a bot challenge, while a normal browser got through. Look at your firewall, CDN or security plugin.
- No response The request timed out or failed. Run the check again; if it repeats, the server may be slowing down automated requests.
What else it checks
AI answers are built on the same basics as search results, so the checker also looks at the things that decide whether a page can be understood and quoted:
- Site files: robots.txt, sitemap (and whether robots.txt points to it), llms.txt, HTTPS.
- Indexing:
noindextags, canonical URL, whether the site blocks automated visitors in general. - Page basics: title and meta description (present, not too long or short), one clear H1, page language, image alt text, response time.
- Structured data: whether the page has valid JSON-LD and an Organization description, and whether link previews (Open Graph) are complete.

Questions
What is AI visibility?
AI visibility is whether AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini and Copilot can read your website and recommend it in their answers. The first requirement is technical: their crawlers have to be able to reach your pages. This checker tests exactly that.
Is the AI visibility checker free?
Yes. The check is free and needs no account. You see every problem it finds; the full explanation and fix are shown for the first ones, and an account unlocks the rest.
Does it check what ChatGPT says about my brand?
No. It checks whether the assistants can read your site at all, which comes first: an assistant cannot cite a page its crawler is not allowed to fetch. Tracking which AI crawlers and assistants actually visit your pages is part of a VisibleReady account.
Why would my site block AI crawlers without me knowing?
An old robots.txt rule, a security plugin, a hosting plan's bot protection or a CDN setting can all refuse AI crawlers. None of them change how the site looks to you in a browser, which is why the block goes unnoticed.
I fixed robots.txt. When will the assistants see it?
OpenAI and Perplexity both say it can take about 24 hours for their systems to pick up a robots.txt change. Run the check again after the change is live to confirm the crawlers get through.
Fix it once. Keep it fixed.
VisibleReady runs this check on your site every day, writes the fix in your code as a pull request you approve, and logs which AI crawlers and assistants visit afterwards.
